LAN

XaephyrComms Secure Off-Grid

Works over local Wi-Fi and/or LoRa radio — no internet at all

Needs zero internet access. Built for when you don't have connectivity: local Wi-Fi mesh, and/or long-range LoRa radio for off-grid situations entirely.

  • File & image sharing (Wi-Fi)
  • Push-to-talk voice, encrypted on Private channel
  • LoRa radio mesh — kilometers of range, no infrastructure
  • Position sharing for LoRa peers

In brief: WAN (this app) is internet-based, persistent-identity, text messaging. LAN is the fuller-featured, no-internet-required sibling — it's the one with file sharing, voice, and radio. Neither is a lesser version of the other; they're built for opposite situations.
